I know, I know...This was suppose to be about animated cursors! I'll do one on animated cursors in the next lesson.

Here is the premise. You are using Keyguard's awesome keystroke control. Among other shortcuts, you allow the user to press "X" to exit. But let's say you have a page where you don't want "X" to be used to exit.

A good example was presented by LazyPookzz when she was designing her LP2 game. If you have a frame with a textbox where you want to allow the user the freedom to type in any character, guess what happens when they click on "X"? Yep, they are automatically exited. OUCH!

By the way, when it is available, you should play LP2. It's an excellent game with great puzzles to solve.

The nice thing about KeyGuard is that changing or prohibiting a key in Keyguard is very easy.

Excellent job :D

BTW: the issue about when a key is pressed when the game windows doesn't have the focus is fixed in the next release of KeyGuard... expect it very soon along with a big box of design candy :wink:
