Interesting... I always hated the built-in inventory, but I didn't knew how to do custom. I tried once, but failed.

If there was enough interest in AM, I was in the process of building a solution for custom inventories using basically what you see here along with the mouse wheel, which would allow you to switch hands and use whatever you were holding. These would be a couple items that you pulled from your inventory. I did a test a few years back and it worked very nicely, but the code needed to be cleaned up.
