LDG Plugin Pack

PostPosted: Mon Apr 06, 2009 1:56 pm

Well, since the plugins corner has been nuked recently and most of my plugins -no wait! all of them- were deleted I decided to release a plugin pack

So this is it. Some of the plugins were made by me along with other community users. I will list the plugins included along with the initials of the members who worked on it. The first initial to show up will be the name of the original developer.

Animation Maker (J,L)
Custom Messages (L)
Inventory Button (L)
Mobility Xtreme (L,J)
Parser (L)
Random Events (L)
Type Effects v3.0 (L,C)

Due to lack of time I wasn't able to retest them (there's a big chance I 've modified some of them and they won't work properly, if that's the case, please contact me immediately on these forums) or to write a quick guide. However, each plugin has a short description and they are not too complicated, so you will get the basics by taking a look on their interfaces.

You can grab it here

Updated link to mediafire the one from Mystery get it from here.

Great! :D
But why is it an executable?

I 've compiled them into an installer. You must specify AM's plugin folder on your computer and they 'll be installed.

Hmmm, it doesn't install :(
After I confirm that I want to install it, nothing happens...

Could you provide them as .zip folder?
Then I could also choose which ones I want to add. I have already 2 of them :)

Made it work, I needed to run the .exe as admin :)

Thanks guys :)
Don't worry reneuend. They are too easy...

Mystery wrote:Made it work, I needed to run the .exe as admin :)

Sorry for that. I avoided the ZIP solution for more convenience... I will try to get a better installer to enable selection of the plugins to install. You can however simply overwrite the old ones.

Nope, I didn't overwrite those, they've worked well so far, and you know... I'd better keep them :P
But this was no problem as I could decide whether I wanted to overwrite the already existing ones or not :)

Yeah... Inno doesn't allow file selection either :(

Thanks, Lyberodoggy. I think that I had all of these already, but now I'll know that I have the most up to date versions. :)

Old post wrote:FYI I uploaded a newer version (no need to download). The only new thing is that with the new installer you can select the files to install...

ShadowHunter wrote:2. Bitmap cursor rendering is not supported to be used with transitions, rippling water or panoramic frames
or simultaneously with other visual plugin?s

As stated in ShadowHunter's quick start guide for KG 4.0, you cannot use any of the visual plugins in conjunction with bmp cursor rendering

That means that if you wish to use the bmp cursor capabilities AND one of the following plugins, you need to make sure that the cursor never goes over the visual effects.

Incompatible plugins:
Animation Maker
Mobility Xtreme

Also note that other plugins may have incompatibilities too. It's not mentioned whether texts are also rendered on the background or not.

I 'll try to get some time and work on those plugins to make sure they work with KG.

AHA! I'm so glad I checked this thread. The link from the AM plugins page to the Random Event Generator (I think it's called) is broken! Now I know why. =D

Thanks for reposting these here. My life just got SO much easier.
