Panorama Bilinear Filter

Postby goatman82197 » Sun Mar 18, 2012 11:23 pm

Because the panoramas (cubic AND cilindrical) are nearest nieghbor filtered, is it posible to have a bilinear or bicubic filter method?

You mean realtime, from the engine rendering the pano?

That would be a no, unless modifying the plugin's code, and we certainly can't do that.

Also with directX 7 seems very impossible. I still can't believe I can run panos based on DX7 with DX10 installed. You know, Microsoft doesn't like backwards compatibility.

Sorry for the blah, the sum is that all you can do to change how your panorama looks is either improve your graphics output or create an alternative engine based on technology from half a decade ago.

Yes, but as I said, we don't have access to the rendering code of the plugin, only GM-Support does.
