T'alvi converted to the PSP!!! Download now!

Postby GM-Support » Thu Dec 29, 2005 11:25 pm

Hi all!

I have just finished converting T'alvi to the PSP!

You can download it from the following URL (9MB):

http://www.arnoldsconcepts.com/am/talvi ... or_psp.zip

T'alvi is a free high-quality first-person point-and-click adventure game in the style of Myst. It features full-resolution pre-rendered pictures and animations.

This is the very first full-length game ever released as a free download for legal 2.x PSP's!

More information is in the Readme file included in the game package.

I have compiled the game with AM 4.2 build4, which is about to be released (it features a much more stable engine for the PSP).

Please let me know if the game plays fine, even if you have not finished it. I need to know ASAP, so that if there are problems I can fix the PSP engine before releasing the build4 of AM 4.2!

Enjoy!

T'alvi and the demo work fine (PSP firmware 2.6 loaded from a Mac!). I did notice that sometimes, if you hover on the hotspot (arrow icon) and click, the action does not execute until you mouse-off the hotspot. Is that just me? Otherwise big big thumbs up.

===== MILD SPOILER FOLLOWS =====

Just a couple questions WRT to gameplay in T'alvi ...

Is there a key for the Harvest Age? Or is it a big tease? I believe the game loses something in the translation to PSP as there is no audio (again, this may be me being confused), but I never got an explanation for the lizard.

Hi winchou,

Thanks a lot for your post.

I agree that the game loses something in the translation to PSP, because I had to remove some parts that may have helped explain the story. That is due to the lack of audio and the need for the filesize to remain reasonable.

In the Harverst Age there is nothing but a piece of paper to read.

Save game?

Postby Moonfleet » Tue Jan 03, 2006 3:00 pm

Hello,

The reality that I can now play Myst style games on my PSP blows me away! Thank you so much.

I've just installed T'alvi and it seems to work fine on my 2.01 PSP. Before I get too involved in it I just wanted to ask if there was anyway I can save my progress or do I just have to play through in one hit?

Many thanks again.

:D

Hi Moonfleet,

Welcome to the forums!

I am glad you like AM.

The possibility to save the progress in the games will likely be implemented in a future version.

Best regards,
