Hi Kirk!

Someone hacked the forums a few weeks ago. All the posts have been deleted.

All my backups turned to be incomplete (corrupted!), so I was unable to restore them. I have spent a couple of weeks trying to restore them anyway. I was very sad when I realized that I could not restore any topic.

I have now upgraded to the latest version of phpBB, so, hopefully, we won't have trouble for a while. I will also spend more time on verifying the integrity of my backups, to be sure that they are not corrupted and that I can successfully restore the forums at any time.

I went to:
http://www.archive.org/web/web.php
and typed in:
www.adventuremaker.com/phpBB2
and I found some snapshots of some of the AdventureMaker Forums from the past?
Could be of some help for some of our members.

Alas, just the front pages. No actual posts inside. :-(

There was a Myst forum hacked a few weeks ago...
The 'Hacker' send the admin lots of cryptic emails aventually leading to the files.

What a script-kiddie.

How nice to see the forum is working again! I hope at least as many posts will be on this AM forum as there were in the last.

Hi everyone! Glad the forum is back! It's a shame the old threads were lost - what an absolute WEALTH of information they were!! Hopefully we can re-generate the same wealth! :)

Hey. Just passing through as a game called World of Warcraft has distracted me from a lot of stuff and havent really done anything on the Adventure Game scene as of late. But totally shocked to hear the site was hacked and all the posts were lost. Such a shame as a whole load of helpful posts and friendly remarks have been lost forever. Tis a shame.

Anyway good to see the community is still about and hopefully will be back sometime soon when i finally get a game idea from my head and onto paper. :P
