I Need Help With Something

I've been using a computer mic to record narration for my game "Prison Break". I tried to record yesterday only to find out that It stopped working. The mic is plugged in but when you talk into to it, it doesn't record any sound. Can someone please help me. If I can't fix it, I won't be able to finish Prison Break.

Click on the little speaker in the system tray and see if it is muted.

Nothing is muted.

Never mind I fixed it. I needed to test out my hardware.
