I was wondering if its possible to have the game "auto-save" without those popup windows and make it where that saved game isn't visable in the load game menu. You could make it auto save before something could make the game end (like a gameover thing) And then it returns you main menu, where it has a try again button that can automaticly loads the saved game without a prompt or anything... This is exactly how the Nancy Drew games operate and the werid thing is that they use .SAV files too....hmmm :? :P

I don't know about autosaving, but you could try using a hotspot with"go to last visited frame" so it will go back to the frame before you got the gameover.
