What screen resolution are you using in your game ?

Please help me. I am trying to determine the best screen resolution for
a new game. I have most of my materials ready to start, but before I do
I would like to get some input on what people feel are the current, best
resolutions to use. I am leaning towards 800 X 600 but I see others are using
even larger. Thanks for any input.

I may go a bit higher, but not much because some people have really small monitors...

EDIT: Actually, using a larger resolution will be harder to draw with, but the graphics will appear to be better. Also, if they want to, they can always set the game resolution to 640 x 480 or something like that.
