Inventory Button Problem

Hi,
is there some to have pop-up invetory WITHOUT invetory button??? Once you ad an item to inventory, inventory button appears on the top of the screen and it is causing problems in transitions (with alphablending invetory button is appearing and dissapearing and it looks awful). I would like to use simple (black) pop-up inventory WITHOUT invetory button. Is it possible?
