Do you get this error message if you try to change the dialogue?

And did you add any script to change fonts for example that could trigger an error in the Dialogue Wizard?

Have you done any changes lately that might have to do with this error?

Did you add quotation marks (") to the dialogues? This might lead to an overflow error.

To be honest, currently I'm running out of ideas since I haven't experienced this, and I haven't found any similar reports by AM users.

Have you tried to close AM and all programs that are running, and then to start AM again to see if you get the same error?

If this doesn't help, hopefully GM will have an idea what might be wrong. :?

Don't panic now :)

Hi,

It very probably has something to do with the file that contains the information about the dialog being slightly corrupted.

Please locate the file on your computer. You will find it inside the folder "FramesData" that is inside your project folder (typically C:\Program Files\Adventure Maker v4.4.0\Projects\MY_PROJECT\FramesData\). The file is named "FRAME_NAME.dlg" where you should of course replace "FRAME_NAME" with the name of the frame in which you created the dialogue.

Once you have found the file, first of all make a backup copy of it, so that you don't risk loosing its content. Then you can open it with Notepad to see what it looks like. If you don't see anything strange (like odd characters that you mistakenly entered), please send it to me (for example by posting it to this thread as an attachment), and I will try to fix it asap.

Thanks,
GM-Support

Thanks GM, even though it's probably late to help Dalton, as he has decided to rewrite the dialogues, this question is now covered on the forums for any future cases :)
