Schemes~

Postby mercedes » Fri Oct 31, 2008 9:33 am

Hi there...:)

I know i'm able to change the schemes that come with AM....but am i able to change the Start button and exit button's position..? on where they should be..They seem to load in the exact place..and i would like to be able to move them around..

If i can't..can i use the scheme..and make my own buttons separate..from them..in other words..i guess use no buttons and use hotspots on the schemes i make with AM..but i gather they won't be treated the same..I would have to put my own code in them..?

I don't see an option to not use the buttons..with only scheme..

THanks..~!

Hi,

You cannot change the position of the buttons in the splash screen (aka. startup menu).

However, you can bypass it and create your own startup menu using a frame with hotspots, as described here:

GM..am i able to eliminate them all together then..the buttons..and only use the Scheme i created..and add my own hotspots..buttons..

See i would like to use the size of the schemes that are there....and this way too...I can do it without a full screen..

The scheme i'm using i have made the text already on it..but its small..the same size as the ones AM uses..

I don't want to use a full screen start up menu..:(

THanks for response..:D

Open the Schemes folder and look at the buttons to see what they look like .

Sorry i should have mentioned again..i'ts the positions..i don't like..I want to put them somewhere else on that menu..I want to use the same size of start menu...with the start buttons and load and exit..but i want to put them where i want them..not where AM puts them sort of thing..which is why i had hoped for not using them--deleting them....or making my own on a custom scheme..that is in AM..

I come up with a cool custom scheme..i really want to use it..but its small like the ones in am..I took for granted i could use my own start button or play button i guess..:(

THanks for response..:)

I was thinking they could be changed there but maybe not.
Maybe in the Schemes.txt file that is there? have to wait till GM comes in and say if so.

Hi,

You cannot change the position of the buttons in the scheme. However, you can change their size, and you can use semi-transparent GIF's.

I know i've asked this already..but i don't think it was replied too..sorry if it has and i'm being redundant...but can i eliminate them altogether...Use no buttons..? Use just the Sheme..I can write the buttons on there..

Is there any way at all to use a small size start menu..like the ones that come with AM..

Thanks :)

By the way...does that mean i can't have any custom menu that is just a window..Because if i can't create a small start menu, then that probably means I can't create custom Start menu that is large either.. and not full screen then..right..?--I know u can full screen..

Thanks for Response..:)

You could create an external program for starting menu, but if you wanted to load game from there, that would be a pain in the neck (requires the custom save/load technique)
