Is it legal/possible to distribute a particular font with the game, so I can use some of the less-common fonts? Or will I need to make images for each of the instances of text with these less-common fonts?
I'm thinking of Biondi specifically...

If you're using non-default fonts (which are not by default on all/most pc's), then you need to take a look at the license.
I assume it's similar to the usage/distribution rights of music/sounds.
If the fonts are commercial, then you won't be allowed to distribute them.
If the fonts are e.g. free for non-commercial use, and you create a freeware game, then you'd be allowed to distribute them with your game.
As far as my research has shown, Biondi is a commercial font.
