I don't lik doing this sort of thing, but:

I have posted a couple of questions in the Tech Forums without any
success.

Yes, they are still there. My name is "Vertexx."

Basically very simple stuff..

The query concerns the paid version and if it's HTML output displays a message: "Powered by AdventureMaker."

Go on, be a devil and take a look. Who knows..you may have an answer. :)

Hi Vertexx,

The AM site and I mean the WHOLE site, has been down the past few days. It left everyone wondering what the heck was going on.

I don't know the answer to your question, but if you aren't taking any money for your game, then I can't see how there can be a legal issue of you removing the "powered by AM" statement. It's like removing the tag off of a TShirt, which I do all the time! :D

Basically, he needs someone with a paid version to open a project and click on "Compile as HTML", and then see if "Powered by Adventure Maker" shows up on the finished product.

What then ?

Thanks Reneuend, for your reply.
Looking forward to an official answer, if you know what I mean. :)

Is there someone " in authourity" I should contact?

Many, many thanks for that..
And many thanks to Jason.

I'm here a-chewin' my finger nails. :)

Seriously though, I'm getting a few queries and also support for an actual iPhone app of my project. (Once completed !!:) )

I didn't know that it would be so easy/cheap to convert HTML to iPhone App.

But it's the legal stuff about that displayed message that is of concern.
That is if the message is still on the pay version :)

I would certainly have no qualms at all about telling folks that Adventure Maker is a great little tool for this sort of thing.

Hi Vertexx,

Sorry it took so long, I have a dual boot system and had to switch over to XP to test. I have a license for both the full and commercial version, but lost my registration for the commercial version when I built my Windows 7 machine.

What an idiot!

Anyway, I created a small html game and it came up with the "powered by" message at the beginning. I don't think its an issue to remove, but if you have qualms about it, might I suggest having your first frame be pure white with a timer of say, 1 second? Then go to your game menu. I don't know what it would do, but there is always a way around things.

Until someone gives you an official answer, thats what I have.

Oh, I believe that AM creates html which can be used on the Iphone. It doesn't create an executable for it. Someone else can confirm this since I don't create Iphone games.

Thanks for your fine efforts, Reneuend !

I'll have to give it some thought and try to get some legal advice.

..and yes, AM does only create the HTML files only.
BUT, there are folk who will create iPhone Apps from HTML with added bonuses, like embedded audio etc.
Apparently for this sort of "point and click" amateur stuff that I'm doing it's not very hard or expensive to convert and compile or whatever.

Anyway, once again thanks to you two (Jason) for all this.

I'll keep on listening in case others reply. :)

Hi vertexx !

I own the Full Edition for non-commercial and for commercial use. When I create iPhone/iPod Touch games and compile them, the first frame will show "Powered By AM" message at the bottom. The way to remove this is to edit the HTML files. You cannot compile to stand-alone app, but if you want to include sounds into your games, it's all about editing Html files, wich I'm very good at.

If you want to know how you could do this, Pm me!

Best Regards.

Thanks Jeeji :)

Yes I know how to edit the Index page etc, but this can actually be taken as reverse enginneering and can lead to sticky probs in the future.
Having this message appear in the "Paid for Version" is annoying.

Compiling from HTML to an actual iPhone App is also Ok for me. :)

I really need some contact with "those in authority" to clear this up.

Thanks anyway, Jeeji. 8)
