A little secret object that AM has. It looks more like the windows default textbox, unlike the big textbox that the TextBoxObject uses.
- Code: Select all
LoadControl WindowObject(2)
WindowObject(2).Visible=True
WindowObject(2).Left=BackgroundObject.Left
WindowObject(2).Top=BackgroundObject.Top
WindowObject(2).Width=BackgroundObject.Width
WindowObject(2).Height=BackgroundObject.Height
WindowObject(2).Text="Change this to your own text."

Textboxes are great for all types of reasons. I used them in almost all of my educational games. It might also be a way of creating messages or character dialogs. It's a good idea to clip these great finds and store them away. I guarantee you'll miss it if you don't!!!!
Thanks TKG for another great one!
