Way to change the transparency color in Adventure Maker?

Postby wickedsunny » Tue Sep 16, 2008 7:59 pm

I believe the transparent color chosen by AM is white (255, 255, 255).

This is the reason every time I import my gif animation, the white eyes and mouth of my character vanishes.

Can I change this transparency color to some other color?

This way I will never be able to place any thing with white color in it.

I have found this major trouble in AM, without this transparency problem I have got few very good ideas how to use it to make amazing window and iphone game, even role playing games.

Why png format is not supported by AM? Png supports transparency and can help to create even side scrolling games.

Not in adventure maker. But there is a program called Microsoft GIF Animator that you can use to change the transparent color.

Hope that helps,

Thanks chrome

I have never used it, but I think I will have to instead of changing my characters color in photoshop every time.

Well it should sort the problem out, as long as the GIF isn't animated.

If you need anything else just ask here! :)

I don't think AM supports animated GIF transparency. But it might do in the newer version.

Try opening up with animated GIF in GIF animator. If it displays each frame of the animation then you'll have to change the transparent color of every single frame.

When is the next version coming out? Any day sooner?

I will give it a try in gif animator

Thanks
