Some More Songs Made With Music Maker

Music Maker has become one of my favorite small music programs. I doubted it at first, but lately it's just been perfect for composing music when you don't want to go to the effort of using Absynth, Project 5 or one of those bigger programs.

Even though they have been converted to MP3, the original MIDIs were made using Music Maker. They're songs I produced for an animation project.

The first two songs I used to test out how good the MIDI guitar was.

The goal of 'Reign Begins' (the second song) was to produce a choir-sounding song for this particular project.

Have a listen, see what you think. (Bare in mind they were created ENTIRELY with MM).

*** Please make sure to listen to Song 2 before listening to Song 3, Song 3 will make more sense that way ***

Ah. most people try it and all they get are AMIGA-like sounds, but you make quality music, Chromegloss. Did that take you awhile, the answer would be appreciated.

All I can get out of this music program is some chimes...

That song took me an hour or two to compose...

But you have to know what you're going for when you make a song. I had a clear idea in my head of the type of song I was trying to create, so it was simple enough.

Also, you really have to know how each instrunment sounds and how music maker works.

I'll admit, I spent a few weeks making absolute rubbish with Music Maker before I finally got to grips with it.

I just want to showcase some of my music maker songs here to show people that it's possible to achieve more than 'chimes' or 'AMIGA-like sounds'. It's actually a pretty good product for a freebie.

Anyway, thanks for your response... I hope more people listen to this, it might convince them that you can make acceptable music with Music Maker.

I actually play the guitar, so I'm not that away from music, but when I tried to insert one of my tracks in MM, it sounded weird. Let alone the fact that I need like two minutes to find the chords' notes and add them in place (changing instrument number to not erase the other notes played at the same time)

I know what you mean...

MIDI guitars aren't that great.

Just if anyone's wondering, Amiga is an old computer with the suckiest sound system even at THAT time!

If I could recommend you GuitarPro 5... it can produce quite nice guitar sounds and also makes it easier to input chords :) I used it quite often when composing songs.
