Oh my ! October 31th ! Sounds bad for me with ASA to finish... :(
But I'll try to do something !

What is a one frame escape style adventure game ?
(doesn't sound familiar to me, at least the english term)

I'm as enthusiastic as V66 ! :)

I'm still thinking. It's little hard for one frame game :D

But, I have some ideas and a story of course...

My first game Shadows is room escape game, but it's not one frame.

We apologize for the short notice. That is why we came up with idea to have 3 small contests before the big one. As long as you enter 1 of the 3 small contests you are eligle to enter the big contest.

An escape style game is where the player is stuck in a room, a cave, a hole, or anything where they are trapped and need to get out!

I agree V66 that one frame an no scripting would make this tough! We wanted people to keep it simple (after all...there isn't any time to work on it!). I would strongly suggest keeping it very simple and just try to be creative as possible.

Just a notice, in the Rules there is error in a word.

Escape stype game

style, right? :)

And I wanted to ask, it's prohibited to put small code, or it's up to the user/creator?

I just added a small code, and later I thought, I shouldn't use code... :(

Thanks,
V66

Lets do this...I think it would be hard with the current rules and we were trying to make it easy.

Change:
- Maximum of 5 frames
- scripting allowed

Great!!!

Thank you reneuend! :)

It's better this way... I can limit my game to one frame, but I think it's better to put one more if needed... :)

Does a small introduction/ending count as a single frame, or several frames ? For example, a succession of views to show why the hero is in a hole...

good point simon.
The intro and ending doesn't count. Only the game play frames should be held to 5 frames.

The idea of limiting frames is to keep it within reason because of the short timing.

I had the first rule, before it was changed, one frame game. :-)

Does is count now?

I'm still in, I wanna participate in contests, it's fun. :)

You're still in V66!

Since AM was down for 2 weeks? I would be willing to extend it for that amount of time as long as other participants that have already submitted their entries don't mind. I understand the issues, but I can't keep changing things or it wouldn't be fair for everyone.

I'll let you know in the next couple days if we can extend the time, but it would only be for I think 2 weeks.

I understand, then don't extend it ! I'll do what I can to finish in time, or I'll participate to the next contest ! Don't change anything !!!!!!

Very good initiative that the contests!
I'm already working on my game for the contest "Escape Game" ...

5 frames for the Game Scenes, + 1 frame for Title Screen (author, new game, etc), +1 frame for Intro, +1 frame for ending.

Is this okay? or should I reduce the amount of frames.
