what is 'Gif89a from Gif89.dll'?

I have a problem can you help?

i have just doen loaded Adventuer Maker. but evertime i try to do anthing with it i get this error message.

"Failed to load control Gif89a from Gif89.dll. Yout version of Gif89.dll may be outdated."

what is Gif89a and Gif89.dll?
haw can i fix it?

so i can get on with making games.

I would reccomend redownloading AM.

Hi edwr20,

The problem is that you have an outdated version of Gif89.dll, but Adventure Maker cannot overwrite it.
You need to uninstall AM, unregister Gif89.dll, delete it (it's probably in your System folder on your pc), and then re-install AM.
