Problem With FADE Feature in Frame Properties Audio...

Postby 3dgamer » Thu Mar 12, 2009 3:59 am

Hi All,

Well I have tested this a couple of times and it seems like there is a bug in the Audio fade feature of the Frame Properties.

It seems that when you add a sound file to the Audio tab of the Frame Properties and enable "fade", you will hear the sound fade UP but it will not fade DOWN; it cuts out. This doesn't seem to happen with the hotspot audio, just with the frame properties audio.

Could someone please check this to see if this is also happening on your end as well and let me know?

Thanks.

-----------------EDIT-----------------------------------

Okay this seems intermittent. Sometimes it cuts and sometimes it fades. Very strange. But the fade in always works.

Hey there..:D

wow u really have no luck with sound  .. ..i'm a bit confused though..what do u mean by fade up and fade down..
I see only the option to fade..and the amount of minutes the sound fades. Normally the way it works, from what i've seen, is the sound Fades OUT-- in noise..which i think.. is what it's supposed to do..
Fade UP--in noise..would make no sense..do u know what i mean mang...:P
I believe the option is so the sounds fades "Away" perhaps is a better way of describing it..:)

Is this what u are talking about ....

3d, since you are experience many problems with sounds in AM, my guess is that a windows package concerning VB MediaplayerObject is corrupt or something. Try updating your codecs...

Okay, thanks Lyberodoggy. I did do an update recently, about a month or two ago, but maybe I'll check and see it there are any recent updates since then.

Cya.

Sorry for the late response...I saw your post late for some reason.

Basically I have been noticing that if I use the fade feature, the sound fades in but doesn't fade out. At least in the Frame Properties Audio tab. For instance, if I use a sound in the Audio tab, and have set the sound for 2 seconds, I will hear a 2 second fade up from silence to the sound and then at the end of it playing, hear a two second fade out to silence. This works fine in the Hotspot properties Audio tab, but not for the Frame Properties Audio tab; it has a problem with the audio fade out.

But I think there may be something to what Lyberodoggy is saying re: the codecs because I did notice some other anomalies with my sound the other day, so it probably is something that is happening just on my side. I've downloaded the latest audio codecs for my card, so I will wait and see...

Thanks for the help, though. :)
