Keeping Default Inventory Button Visible...?

Postby 3dgamer » Thu Apr 16, 2009 9:54 am

Hey there,

Just wanted to know if there was a way to keep the inventory button visible (I am using the default one) during alphablending? I tend to use a good amount of a-blend for transitioning and the i-button keeps disappearing until the alphablend transition completes itself. This results in numerous "now-you-see-it-now-you-don't" types of effect. I would just like it to stay visible, regardless of the a-blend.

Any clues for making this happen?

TIA :)

You can include it on the top left corner of every frame of your game :P

I have! ;) The only problem is that it goes away during an alphablend...then it pops back up. I want to have it stay up through an alphablend. :( [psssst--play the game again and you will understand what I mean ;)]

So any tips on how to make the inventory button always stay on top of the frames, even through an alphablend, would be most appreciated.

:)

Hi Mercedes,

Okay, I believe I understand what you are saying. Basically use HSM to duplicate a hotspot on all frames to represent the inventory button...? Okay, let me look into that...

Thank you both for the help ! :D

Hey..:D

Yes..If u look in your Project's Properties...Under the InventoryTAB..U will see the buttons[pictures] u can use for the Inventory button..
One of them being the black with white writing..and the other being the Wooden one..

If you go through Window's explorer..U will see the picture in the Inventory menu..My path to get there is..
C:\ProgramFiles\AdventureMaker\Inventory.

There u will see the buttons..:D

You can import it in one frame..in a hotspot using that path..then use HSM to duplicate that hotspot on all frames~

Peace~
