Help on updating full version of Adventure Maker

Hi,

I recently purchased the full version of Adventure Maker 4.1.0. The website has a download for the new free version of 4.2.0. Is this the file I need to install to update my previous version? If so, how can I avoid having it download in a completely different folder, and is it ok to just overwrite the previous folder?

Welcome to the forums!

To upgrade, just do the following:
1. Download the new file from the website
2. Launch it, and follow the installation wizard without modifying any of the default options (it will automatically install the program in a folder that is different from that of v4.1).
3. You now have both v4.1 Full Edition and v4.2 Free Edition on your computer
4. If you want, you can transform the v4.2 Free Edition into the Full Edition by following the same instructions that you received when you purchased the previous version (they will work with any version 4.x).
5. If you want, you can safely uninstall v4.1 (this is optional).

I must say though that there should be a better way to make upgrades, especially ones from 4.1 to 4.2!

Hi!

I think my question belongs here. I have tried out the free version for a while, but as I understand it is necessary to have a full version in order to make stand alone games for other people to play.
I don't quite understand the information on the website. It says that I can upgrade my free version if I purchase the full version and I will get an e-mail with further instructions. But when I go to the online store it only asks for my home address for the delivery. Is the online-upgrade limited to certain countries? Or did I miss something? Please help me out with this problem. Thank you.

The online-upgrade is NOT limited to certain countries.

You must provide your home address because that information will be used to generate your license codes.

Thank you for putting it clear! I wasn't sure and I didn't want to take any risk on purchasing and paying twice. I do appreciate your help very much which could be also necessary when I start to work with the full edition.

I have a free version of Adventure Maker, and I'm trying update it to the full version. I followed the directions from my e-mail, but I still couldn't get the upgrade. I'm running the 4.5 version of the program on Windows Vista. Can you help me?

Make sure when u follow the directions...u follow them to the letter..Copy and Paste~from the email..Be sure to put in the right date format.

When u have completed it successfully.., it will tell u so...
