What I did in my game was present the player with an "quit game" hotspot in a corner of the last frame of the game. That frame called a series of timed credits frames which ended with an exit to windows.

thanks guys but....

what i was really askin was EVERY time you quit the game
not just the ending , that part i got done already. Ever play myst?
whenever you quit the credits rolled each and every time
not just the end of the game. I would rather not add a hotspot
to every screen in the game as it can be bypassed with the am
menu. is there a quit / exit code to be used globally?

thanks much

The only way I can think of to do that sort of thing would be if you actually coded a quit procedure that was separate from the one that is accessable from the 'esc' menu provided by AM.

You would need to include an option to access it in your game and my first guess as to where to put it would be in the inventory bar and inhibit the AM 'esc' option.

This would cause problems of course since you would also need to allow for save and load options.

Just have an option to have a credits in the exit code . then have a checkbox if you want to have avi flash etc for the credits.
GM would have to do that but would be nice.
