Animated gifs won't hide under another frame

Hello,

I am making a concentration like game which involves pairs of pictures which are hidden under a number card. When you click on the number card, it becomes hidden/disabled and you see the picture beneath it.

My problem is that I want to use animated gif pictures under the number cards but for some reason the animated gif will not be hidden by the number card.

Any suggestions?

Also I link the pairs of cards to each other so that when they are both uncovered and either is clicked on again, they both disappear. Is there any way to make the 8 sets of cards randomly arrange within the grid
each time the board is reset?

I am using AV 3.5.1 standard edition 315578
