Panorama OCX glitch

Postby matthornb » Thu Jul 20, 2006 7:23 pm

What's the correct procedure for exporting a program with the panorama feature?

I've tried exporting an .exe of the game and now not only is the game incapable of video interactions, but when I try running it on other PCs I get an error about a missing OCX file...

What do I have to do to make the panorama stuff work when exported?

I'm sorry if I'm incoherent right now, I'm pretty frustrated.

I think that maybe the "Create/Modify plugins" thing is wrong - what OCX files go with the panorama plugin?

Thanks.

Hi Matthornb,

I assume you have the Professional version of Adventure Maker ?

Kind regards,

Yes, I do - never mind, I found a way to solve this problem. The program runs now, it just gives errors during certain hotspot interactions.

The error is described in my other thread:

So, no more posts in this thread.

Hi,

Sorry I am so late in replying. We indeed forgot to include the OCX by default in the plugin properties. I cannot believe nobody reported this problem before.

In case other people experience the same problem, here is how to fix it:

1. Start Adventure Maker
2. Click "Create/Modify Plugins..."
3. Select "AMPanoramaPlugin_beta6_part1"
4. Click "Edit Selected Plugin...". The Plugin Properties window should pop up.
5. Go to the "OCX" tab
6. Click "Add...". A popup window should appear.
7. Select the file "AMPanoramaPlugin_ID7.ocx" and click "USE SELECTED FILE". This should close the popup window.
8. Click OK to close the Plugin Properties window.

Thank you for reporting the problem.

Best regards,
