ever see a game that supposed to change the
screen res, to 640 x 480 end up with the screen partially
cut off and unable to see the game menu?
perhaps an unsupported vid card?
any thoughts?

Hi,
A bad refresh rate is a good culprite for this behaviour.
You might want to change (try) during game play...
