Icons

I'm trying to make icons for the inventory, but i am having problems. I downloaded another icon making software to make 32x32 icons, but when i load it into AM, it dosent show it as transparent(It keeps the white background). Is there a way to get rid of this or is the icon maker that came with AM the only one you can use?

Oops, sorry, nevermind, i found out that i wasn't making the back transparent, i was making it white. Thats why it kept showing up white for a background
