Scripting Engine Error[solved]

Postby buxton » Thu Oct 18, 2007 2:44 pm

I'm rather embarrased to be bringing up yet another question  , but I've tried everything I can think of and haven't been able to solve the problem.

I have a whole area of my game where every hotspot is throwing up the following error message
Error executing script.
The Scripting Engine returned the following error message:
Control array element '1' doesn't exist

I am at a loss, yesterday everything was working fine, but the frames I have added today are all giving this message, though I'm not aware of having done anything differently.

I'm sorry to be so troublesome, but does anyone know what I might have done?

Thanks
Buxton

Edit: I figured it out! I forgot about the frame merging , really there is just too much to remember sometimes

And if you can add what you did so someone else looking may find help with what you did.

oops, I'm sorry I only just saw these replies

Harvester, thank you :)

And yes of course Candle, sorry and thanks for adding the solved :) .

I had used Runtime Frames Merging to set up a global countdown to run on my game, and then added a series of new frames, I got this error every time I clicked on one of the hotspots in the new frames. Anyway I merged the new frames to the Countdown frame under the Runtime Frames Merging menu and that fixed the problem :D
