Music Maker Problem

Postby Qtip5 » Mon Dec 17, 2007 4:35 am

Just a few days ago I encountered a problem w/ Music Maker. It wont play any of the notes or anything until I convert it to midi. And that doesn't help cause I like to preview my music before I convert it. None of the sound works at all...

Any other music will play...except for Music Maker

HELP!

You mean if you click the Play Button within the Music Maker, you don't hear the sound?
That's strange indeed... I just checked mine, and had no problems.
Did it work earlier, or haven't you tried it until now?

Problem

Postby Harvester » Mon Dec 17, 2007 8:04 pm

Not with music maker, but with other midi-based applications I have encountered the same problem, but I managed to solve it, so I'll try to explain how I did it, I hope it will help. Every computers have some originally built-in midi sound banks (windows has its own as far as I know). It must be turned on and be chosen to play midi files in preview I guess, but since I don't know Music Maker I don't know if there's a chance there to make a choice or whether it is dependent on some system settings.

I also have had problems with Icon Editor. I think it is just an error in the computer programming that can't be fixed, because I have tried to redownload AM but nothing changed.

I don't have problems with MM either. If you switch to Microsoft synthesizer (configuration screen, sound and audio, tab audio) does the same problem still happen?

I managed to fix it
I just have to open up media player (or any other music player)
and that will fix the problem after I preview a song
