Welcome to the forums Genadinio :)

As I understand you are using the free version of Adventure Maker, so that using scripting is probably out of question (loading the non-animated image very shortly after the animated gif with VBScript), or to use the GIF sequence player plugin.

I think that the "problem" is that the animated gif is very short and fast. I don't know if a quick transition to a next screen with the non-animated image would work, or if the transition would be too slow. However, you could slow down the animated gif in Adventure Maker, and then go to another frame with the non-animated image (you'll need to figure out what setting you need for the timed transition).

But maybe somebody else has an even better solution :)

The best solution is to convert your GIF into an AVI file and then use the "looping video" option that is under the "Hotspot Properties". You can choose the number of loops (just enter 1 to play it only once), the speed, and more.

I think you can use the freeware Microsoft GIF Animator to convert your animated-GIF into an AVI.

Hmm, I have GIF Animator, but I don't see an option to save files as .avi.

However, you can open your animated gif in it, and edit it, so that it doesn't loop, just goes through the animation once. :)

And here you go, I've opened the animation and unchecked the "repeat forever" feature (just rightclick on the image below, and choose save as...). But you would still need to go to another screen if you don't use an .avi file as GM-Support has suggested.

Good idea GM, I completely forgot about GIF Animator... :)
