When I created the html output folder for the ipod game, I figured out a way to test it on my website using an iFrame.

I made that quiz game for windows. I just tried the html output, but it wont run on my site.

I guess if I want a game to run on my site, i'll have to make it as an iphone game and do it in a small window.

Hi there..

Games for Windows can only be downloadable files...and you could either put that on your site..upload it..or you can find a host to put it on thereby saving space on your webiste..I would put a pic of the game..and a link above it or below it..to download..Either from Zshare or wherever..

Just make sure you add Description of game...Basically mention that is made only for Windows..Vista compatible..I put made with AdventureMaker as well..stuff like that...:)

Also if you make ablog..you can watch others play and help out giving hints...I prefer blogs for that then forums..but its whatever suits you :)

Hit the link in my post here for my website and get an idea..Its just one Idea.:)

Edit..sorry misunderstood you, thought you were saying game for windows..
Peace~

Yes. I found that the only way I can put a game to play on my site is to make it as an iPhone game and create an HTML output file.

I made a quick quiz and put it on. Its from the other quiz I made. It can be played on the site, so I can also probably put simple room escape games on but only if its created for iPhone.

Here is the link. When you get to the site, click on Idiot test in the navigation bar. lol

Edit: Also, you can't create text boxes when making a game for iPhone, so you have to make the questions and answers in paint or some other program and save them as a picture. Then put the hot spots over the right answers.

Hi,

You can create HTML games with any resolution/size. There is no need to create a game for iPhone and play it in a small window.

To do that with AM v4.4 for example:
1) Go to the Project Properties and choose "Windows" as the target platform.
2) Click "Create HTML (experimental)" from the Project Menu.

This will produce the exact same result as the game for iPhone, except that it can have any resolution/size.

Doesnt work. If I create a game for windows and use the HTML on my site, it wont work. I think its because of some of the features.

Only the simple iPhone HTML files will work on my site using an iFRAME.

Well, I had no problems putting HTML games on my site.
So it has nothing to do with the features - HTML and iPhone games have the same features and limitations.

Yes, HTML for iphone works.

HTML for windows wont work on my website. It comes up as a blank screen. If it takes forever to start, its not worth it.

You cannot convert to html any games for windows. Only the games that use only the compatible features of html. Therefore, if you tried to create html from one of the same windows games that are included in the AM package, it is normal that they don't work.

However, if you took your iPhone game and changed its target platform to "windows" and click "create html", it should work fine. If it does not, please attach your project as a zip file, and I will try to reproduce the problem on my computer and see if I can find a fix.

Thanks,

Ok, I created the game for iphone but changed the platform to windows and did the html. It works, but its way too slow to be played that way.

I have way too many frames and hotspots. It is a memory game and you have to remember color sequences but it takes forever for each screen.

It's ok, I didnt really want to have it on my site anyway.
