Retrieving Inventory Item Selected

I'd like to be able to detect what inventory item is being dragged to my journal inventory item. The catch is that this needs to be dynamic. In other words, I could just use AM's inventory tools and hard code what is being dragged over the journal. I don't want this! I want to be able to detect what is being dragged to my journal icon during runtime!

I see there is an InventoryItemObject(i) object. Is there a way to determine what the current InventoryItemObject is? Would this be the solution?

If I can make this work, it will be great for everyone!
