I currently have version 4.2.0[full non-commercial]. If I download & run version 4.5.2 will it seamlessly integrate over version 4.2.0 & not affect my game in any way?

You will install the new version in a new directory, then you can transfer your project folder to the new installation folder and it's gonna work like a charm
