Cannot create package

Postby RodZ » Fri Dec 04, 2009 3:40 pm

Hello,

I'm new here.I got a problem when trying to create package for distribution.

Everything is ok until the "building archive" phase. I Got an error message "Error in compression control.savefilestoarchive() : overflow"

The building archive stop to 53 % on my first computer. I try on another and it stop at 7 % when the archive is compressing.

But the message remain the same. What can i do ?

Note : Excuse my English, i'm French.

I cannot be sure of what's causing this but
a) are you using windows 7?
b) how big is your project (frames)?
c) do you use filenames with accents and/or special characters?

Yes, try removing any special characters from the filenames and edit the project accordingly...

Also, welcome to the forums :)

You don't need to be concerned. We all started the same way you did.

As you continue to use AM, you'll try new things and in no time, you'll be answering people's questions! :-)

I've never used the "Package For Distribution" option because it doesn't allow VBS or Plugins. Could this be a bug or limitation in AM? You might try using Support at the Adventure Maker website.

or the email: contact2006@adventuremaker.com

Ok...

And do you think it will work with the "create exe" of the full version ?

I've never had an issue making an EXE, so you should be good!
