MENU

Is there an easy way to have your own menu come up while in game mode with a "right click" or "Esc key" or both? Is it a simple code needed or do I need "Key Guard"?
I would just like the player to hit Esc or right click and have my own menu come up without the normal drop down ocurring.
Thanks in advance

I think your best option is to use KeyGuard and set it up to display your own menu. You can shut the AM menu option off from the Project Properties menu.

Note: KeyGuard doesn't have an option for using the ESC key, but you can program the right mouse button. Maybe use "M" for the keyboard command.

There's an option in project's advanced settings to execute some vbs instead of displaying the menus. You can use some script like this:
Declare the variant lastframe and the integer inmenu
Code: Select all
if inmenu=0 then
lastframe=getcurrentframename
gotoframe "Menu"
inmenu=1
else
gotoframe lastframe
inmenu=0
end if
