I created my own pause routine using the Time() function. But, soon found an odd occurance.
Although my code called several functions with a pause routine (used intermittently), when I ran a test, nothing showed up but the msgboxes I added in the pause routine. All of pauses in the code ran before the frame was displayed and then the rest of the code was never called.
I might be able to use the "CreateTimedEvent" method, but it would be messy.
Anyway, this post is more of a "lesson learned". I'm going to see if I make a plugin will work next.
(update) I created a vb plugin created a routine that uses VB's sleep() function and it did the same as above:
On launch, it ran all the pauses and then displayed the frame ignoring the rest of the code.
I noticed it does the same if I try it directly in VB6 also.
Wil someone please enlighten me as to why?
