How to put images on maltible hotspots at ones

Postby Mr.C » Fri Apr 30, 2010 4:56 am

Thanks for the website juhuwoorps,

however I've already figured out how to make grids. :)
What I'm asking is how to...okay how about I explain what I want to do. :D
I want to make a tile-like adventure game, in which your on a jungle coverd island were you click on the tiles, starting on the beach or the edge of the playing area. Each tile or hotspot would display a diffrent image randomly with different events. Each time a new game is played, it's a all new adventure. Having up to four players or three other cpu players is what I'm aiming for too...eventally.
I hope that wasn't to much explaintion? :?

I would suggest using Hotspot Magic from ShadowHunter. Look in the Plugins area or go to ShadowHunter's website.

I think there is some misunderstanding. :P

You know how to make grids, and now you'd like to know how to load random images in them?

I think we would need a more detailed explanation on this:
Each tile or hotspot would display a diffrent image randomly with different events.

Can you make an example who the different/random images go with the different events? I'm not sure if I understand what you mean with that sentence exactly :)

Hi there people,

yeah I'll be happy to explain more! :D
the game begins with the jungle canopy tiles, so when you click on a tile, the canopy changes into one of six or more event tiles--to name a few:

Coins: You collect theas to buy different items

Caves: You might find artifacts, coins, danger, animals, and you can also get lost and miss a turn.

Villages: Your'e able to buy tools for building new villages, you can buy pack, and bodygard animals, etc with coins you find. In some cases you may have to do tasks for the villagers.

Hi,

Sure it can, please check out my website and find some scripting examples in the VBScripting section... also the tile puzzle demo contains script on how to load multiple images...

Its all there

Good luck,
