DLL ActiveX Plugins?

Postby time-killer-games » Mon Feb 07, 2011 1:30 am

Hey I was just wondering why Adventure make currently does not support DLL ActiveX controls for plugins. This could broaden the options for making software and games by a long shot.

FM20.DLL control (in think it comes with visual basic) it is a control that contains the command button, checkbox, label, combobox etc.

With controls like that would be great for making a game's title screen or paused menu, or better yet making viual basic applications with adventure maker instead!

If it just wasn't thought of yet then it would be awsome to see a future version of AM that supports DLL plugins.

just a thought & thanks!

Actually, after some minutes of searching (and some years of just wondering how to do it :P) I came across these two lines of code:

Code: Select all
Dim MyDLL As Object
MyDLL = CreateObject("DLLName.ClassName")

It's so simple and yet, it should work. As long as you have registered the dll that is.
I 'll get more into it from tomorrow.
