Game Manager

Postby mercedes » Sun Oct 30, 2011 7:42 am

I like the way BIG Fish has the Game manager.

The games just simply download..initialize..then its activated..

Once its done..the person presses PLAY..in the GM..and it plays.

Is this possible? Either to have a Game Manager with the EXE file..already activated..So all they had to do was press PLAY. NO wizards..

..?..

or have it download in the Game manager..they way BF does it..and still NO wizards..

I thought it might be useful to put the games i made into one..

Many thanks..:D

It would be nice. I'm not sure what all occurs when you "install" an AM game as a user. Does it set something in the registry? If so, I'm not sure if it would be possible. Wasn't there something about this a few months ago?

..when a user downloads a game..They run the EXE....then a wizard appears...next...next..next..Game has been installed..

Then u have to go and find it...wherever u installed it..usually Program Files..It might set something in the registry...I think it does..

It would be nice once u ran the exe..if the GM opened up..and it installed in there....You would see ..downloading..installing..something like that..Then play...

Did u mean this thread..?

I'm not sure I understand it...how changing the wiz pic...how that would work..If that avoids the wizards altogether..?

Okay. I understand it now. It might be possible to build a script around the install executable. I've not done this before though.
