Sound Delay [SOLVED]

Postby Morsy » Sat Apr 14, 2012 3:41 pm

Hey guys, another problem...
I finished all the frames in my game and wanted to put some music and sound FX in them. I got a song and put it in the frame, then tested it. There was a 3-5 second delay before it started to play. I checked the song file and there was no silence at the start, it immediately started to play once you clicked play.

Help?

SOLVED
Just change the bitrate :3

how did you put it in the frame? What size is the song file and what file type?

I've never had this issue before so there must be something odd going on.

Hey Morsy..This sometimes happens with larger files...and when you first visit the frame...

Try testing frame..while still in testing mode-- go to another frame....and come back to where sound is..

Hopefully the delay won't be there anymore..

Also, try running the project..and doing the same thing..

I put it in the frame by going to the frame's properties, then audio, then on channel 1. The size is 0.98 megabytes and the file type is mp3.

I tried going to the frame with music, then going to another frame with no music, then back to the frame with music and there was still a delay.

Is this a song or a sound...?
Have you tried other music/sound..in the same frame...?
Have you other music in the same frame..?

*********
You could try and convert the mp3..using a smaller bitrate..

Depending on bitrate or converter.....It might lose some quality..
