I (finally) finished my game and compiled it. I played it and the 360 panorama plugin thing wasn't working, the third person plugin wasn't working, and some script that caused you to go to another frame after the dialogue created with the dialogue wizard finished wasn't working. By not working I mean not there at all. No error pop ups or anything, just nothing. Aren't these plugins installed along with AM? Why are they not working and how do you fix it?
Thanks, answering this question is the key to unlocking my game :3
reneuend wrote:First, we should get some base questions answered. I hope you don't mind ( I haven't been around much the past few months):
It works before you compile AM in your tests?
You have the full or commercial version of AM?
The plugins are in the AM executable directory?
You're compiling using AM's compiler?
You didn't change the compile script file?
You didn't change anything in the AM folders?
You're using Windows OS?
You've created and compiled a game before without plugins and it worked?
You've created and compiled a game before with a plugin?

For the 3rd person plugin, was there an actual character there in the frame?
I didn't know you had the full version to compile..I assumed you had the Free version...
..most of the plugins aren't compatible..in the same frame..

I do have the free version.
You have the full or commercial version of AM?
Commercial

I'm confused..
You mention here you have the Commercial..and you have the FREE.
If you are running Free version, plugins won't work. You need FULL version of AM.
Be it the Commercial or the NON-Commercial, to run and compile as an EXE..
Did I misunderstand...what you meant..?
Can the player put the game in their projects and then play it so it plays with the plugins ?

They would have to install AM, and the plugins. If any need registration codes ect. They would need them...Same as what you have..
The plugins come with AM when you install it, but it's not working when you play it even though AM is installed.
What about the script?

Do you and they have them checked off in the Project's Properties, under the Plugins TAB... ?What about the script?
I would have to see what you are doing...By posting the script..and telling me where you have it...Details please!~

The one thing that could go wrong with the dialogue wizard, and it not going to the frame;
Would be that they aren't clicking the dialogue the same way you have it set up.
Therefore, when it comes time to go to frame, they have clicked dialogue in a different way..and that's why its not going to that frame.
You might have to set up a variable.
GoToFrame "12"
mercedes wrote:Did you compile it as an EXE, or did you send them Project Folder? In other words, are you evaluating AM ?
I'll try to send them a project folder.
mercedes wrote:I'll try to send them a project folder.
How were you sending it before?? I assumed maybe you can make an exe with evaluation...
You're only choice is by Project folder...
You send it to a zip folder..and upload it to a file hosting site. Then they in turn download it..to desktop. Unzip it, to DT. Then they open it up project folder with AM.
They would have to have AM installed. Be sure to check off plugins in the plugins tab, under Project's properties.
Similar to a demo..
mercedes wrote:You're not compiling it. You're simply sending them a copy of your project.
Keep it exactly as is. When they download it, they'll have to go thru exactly what you have to go thru, to view and play game..
? Why? You can't go on a website that lets you download free?

It's the actual router that charges, It's like a cell phone..for lack of a better way of putting it.
I live in a remote area, and am unable to get cable modem..or any other internet host.
