Or,
Do you want a second sound to play after they have beat on the door, first time ?
Explain a bit more..please.. I prefer it when you talk in the videos..I understand you fine..I can make out what you are saying.
It hit a door with the normal hand
Mouse -> click, click, click in hotspot = Knock, knock, knock, sound

Knock, knock, knock, sound?
Is the knock and the sound --2 different sounds..?
So it's;
sound-1,sound-1, sound-1, sound-2 ?
mercedes wrote:..You want to play 2 sounds in a row..One right after the other?
I want to do the same effect as shown in the video from youtube
But that does not have to create variables and two hotsopts and having to put different names on the sounds, because the sound is the same

I don't know why you would want to create 2 hotspots and name sounds differently...
You only need one hotspot, and one sound in the audio tab.
Each time you click it, it should play the sound again. Same sound, again. As many times as you click it, the sound should play...I want to do the same effect as shown in the video from youtube

If you want;
Show me what happens when you try it the another way, the way its not working for you. And I'll compare the 2 videos.
mercedes wrote:The sound is stopping, after one click, because you are stopping all sounds..under the action tab.
Take that out of there..if you want the sound to happen again..each time you click
1 hotspot, 1 sound, No action TAB..and it will knock with each click.

If that's not what you're after;
I"m not sure why you are stopping all sounds..I can't wrap my head around that..
You'll have to explain that to me..first..Just so I can understand why..

action.changedefaultcursor "g_closed.ico"
Action.CreateTimedEvent 1.0, "Action.ChangeDefaultCursor ""action2.ico""",false
reneuend wrote:I think the problem you are facing is if you click a second time while the hotspot is still playing the first sound, it will not recognize the click action and therefore will not play again until the first sound is done playing.
I'll do some experimenting, but this is not a bug. its simply waiting for the action to finish before accepting another action.
(update) After experimenting, it seems AM reads 1 click per second at its fastest. Could you add a quick animation for each knock to delay the user from clicking so quickly? Just a thought.
(another update) Okay. I found a way to get the user to understand when they can click again. On the hotspot properties set the cursor when they hover over the hotspot to be a regular opened hand. When they click set the advanced tab with the following code:
- Code: Select all
action.changedefaultcursor "g_closed.ico"
Action.CreateTimedEvent 1.0, "Action.ChangeDefaultCursor ""action2.ico""",false
Here is what will happen:
Player moves hand over the door. the hand is open and not a closed fist.
When the player clicks on the door, the hand changes to a fist, and the single knock is heard.
After 1 second, the hand changes back to an open hand, which lets the player know he can knock again.

Sorry, I don't understand. Is this the first time you've created animation this way? It's very odd that it works in Win7 but NOT XP.
Are you using the latest version of AM? 4.6.1
Why not use animated JPEGs? It sounds like a very simple animation.
What does the animation do?
