Error message - Object Doesn't suport this action

Postby skyflyer » Sun Mar 13, 2016 1:35 am

Hello everyone!

I made my first game with Adventure Maker, and I have a problem that I can't solve. The problem is that the game won't start on some computers, and this message pops up:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/ncmcm1mmj6x0sjx/AM_error.jpg?dl=0

You can download the game from:

http://www.kornelpapista.com/games-maps/lost-lands-game

Does any one know the solution for this?

Thank you.

Hello SkyFlyer,

Sorry for the slow response.

What is the Operating System on the computer where it doesn't work? What version of AM did you use? Did you add any vbscripting? Did you use any plugins? If so, which ones?
How was it loaded to these computers? Downloaded via web? (could be anti-virus software issue. The anti-virus software should be shut off until the game loader has ran on the computer)

Hi Reneuend,

It's ok, thank you for your response.

Those are my friends computers, I asked them to test the game, but the game didn't even start. Actually, the game started but it just played the intro animation and then displayed the error message.
The OS on those computers are: Win 7 ultimate sp1, and Win 10, and the game was downloaded to them from my web site.

I am using the 4.7.1 version of AM, I didn't use any vbscripting. I used just the cubic panorama plugin.

Did you experience the same error message?
I'll post the game on 'Beta Testers' so the game could be tested more thoroughly.

thank you.

The OSes you described should work fine.

I didn't find a download link for the game at the website you sent. :?
It is very possible the game didn't download correctly and that's why it isn't working for them. Be sure they turn off their anti-virus software when downloading.

The link on the web site for downloading the game is on the picture.
Here is the direct link:

I'll tell them to try downloading without the anti-virus.

Thank you very much.

Uhmmm....WOW!
Amazing graphics!!!
It works great on Windows 10 (64).
Let me know if your friends still have issues. I think they need to shut off their anti-virus when downloading. If that doesn't work, can you just send them a DVD?

Great Job!!!! I'm really impressed with your modeling!

They still have that issue, even when I copied the game from USB to their computer.
