Hi,
Is it at all possible in AM to create a "game" wherein the user can modify or add to a written text ?
Or when the game is compiled, is the user input limited to those set of variables within the game ?
Thanks.

There are several ways to do so, but before describing them, you should try Reneuend's journal plugin. Maybe it suits your needs
You will find it here

Ta very much.
Such promptness is appreciated. :D
Now to download the 52megs on.....wait for it.....Dialup !!

But I would reckon it's worth twice the World Wide Wait 8)

Many thanks again.

Yes, indeed it's a pretty big package. Maybe a smaller package without the demos could be created for users with dial-up connection?

I'll break it up so you can download the demo, manuals, and or the plugin separately, but I'll leave the total package for those that want the whole thing.

Certainly impressed with the service around here.

Thanks, Reneuend for that offer of splitting things up.

I'd rather have the whole thing so's I will wait until Monday and download the whole file from a Cafe with Broadband.

Thanks to you all for the input too :)

I'll keep intouch with this thread and let you know how I'm getting on.

:P :P :D

Hi all,

We had torrential rain here these last couple of days which prevented any travel at all through our valley.
At last it stopped and I beat a rapid track to the closest mall and downloaded Reneuend's file ! YAY :D
Off topic Iknow but the local neighbourhood here is lucky to get download speeds of 2 to 3 kB/s ! If one say's 16 to 24 kbits /sec it looks better.

So all is well with your file, Reneuend and I'll get seriously into it very soon and if it's Ok I'll keep in touch here with progress and any questions.

Cheers to all from the "swamp" :D
