As far as I'm concerned, if he doesn't have the time to do continual updates, the most courteous thing would be to open it up to the rest of us as an open-source.

For sure it is!

And it would be nice to make it opensource, yes. But doesn't that mean also that he falls from profit? (I'm not sure, I don't really know how making something opensource works in the financial aspect... I mean if you can make something opensource and still somehow retain the right to ask for money for using a version of AM). And well, when cash and the noble intention clash, usually cash wins :) But I don't want to be cynic about this, I don't suppose the reason is this simple behind the current situation... or if it is, we can bury AM alive this moment.

Hey guys... its been a while since i've considered getting back into my project. I lost a lot of motivation when pretty much everything stopped workin in windows 7. I've had a bit of a read up on some of the updates. However does this version support all of shadow hunters brilliant plugin's and the cube panorama plugin?

Cheers guys..

soooo want to get back into it...

As far as I know, Shadowhunter's plugins work...though he might be able to answer better than me. Cubic panoramas, sadly, do not.

Sighhh

Oh, well looks l'll be trying to figure out how to use CPAGE... It is the engine that was used in Darkness within.. available for free if being used for creating freeware... Darn annoying I would've preferred AM.. Oh well ill keep my eye out for any more updates anyway thanks..

Kuldur, where did you find information about CPAGE? I checked the developer's website but can't find anything. Thanks!

Info:
While asking for AM support for a problem, which we had no chance to take care of, I have also asked GM-Support about the future of AM, and mentioned to him that we were worried.

He has told me in his reply to me today, that there will be a new release that improves Windows 7 compatibility in the next few months.

Well, this encourage me to continue KeyGuard Studio Professional :D

To be honest I'm quite happy with that as I worked for more than a year already on it...

But again, I still have to see it happening, the update that is... fingers crossed indeed.

With best regards,
