Images & Animations - Work In Progress

I didn't have really time and patience in the past months to create new artwork, but finally I've found a bit of time in the evening now. :)

I'll post here from time to time some finished and unfinished images when I have made something.

Nice. How do you get the effect of candle lighting against the wall?

Thanks! :)

In the software that I'm using (Cyber Motion 3D), I can add volumentric fire which gives the candle flame. A "fire lamp" is automatically added which I can set as I like (intensity, color palette etc.). And the light of this fire lamp is then reflected by nearby objects.

From another point of view - I haven't fiddled around with it yet to make the lights nice - it would look like this (with both candles and walls included):

Really nice... Too bad I am 3d challenged.

Really nice pictures :)

Incidently you can create the same effect with the "Light Effects" thats in Adventure Maker, just click the wall behind the candle and adjust intensity and size .:D

Thanks..

I've just changed the title of this topic and included "animations" as well. This is going to be the thread, where I will post some artwork of mine that is not part of an announced game.

So, here is an animation test that I've just made:

Good job, Mystery!
You are progressing in the wonderful world of 3D.

Thank you Vairon :D
Yes, I learned a lot - and there's still a lot to learn

As Vairon said, your 3D is indeed getting better by the day! :)

Mystery, did you make a game with your first two images? Maybe because I may not have played all of your games but I do not recall seeing them before.

Thank you ZW :D Sorry that I've missed your question
No, those images haven't been incorporated in any of my games (yet).

This one looks awesome! It has a quite cunning style :) I like it.
I guess it will have a more serious purpose, but I would put a cartton black eye on the submarine-like thing and make a funny animation or game out of it

Thanks a lot Harvester :D
The screen looks still a bit empty, I'll add a few more stuff, so this is just the basic setup.

Lol, it will be more mysterious, so I won't take up your idea for this game - but who knows if I can use it for another game

What you do at the moment seems to me like commercial games, only more creative than them :) I like your style, and it's nice to see that now it is matched with high quality! Maybe if you also learn animation, and all these scenes would really come to life...

Thank you very much Harvester! :D

Yes, I'm experimenting with animations, too (e.g. the under sea scene of which I posted a still screen, has simple animations) :)

It's a tough road to learn 3D modeling and animation by yourself at a not-so-young age, but it's fun :)

Oh Good!....I like it already :D..
It's a different set up from ur average HOG game..Nice and bright..objects look viewable..and the scenes are not junkie looking.
Although I like HOG games..sometimes u can't actually enjoy the graphics or the work behind it....
After doing so many of the frames...it gets tedious..especially if they make u find like..30 objects per scene..20 of them being no bigger than a grain of salt.. u almost look forward to moving on to the mini puzzles in between..

Look forward to it..can't wait!~ :D

I have no choice but to comment on this one -- those screens (spectially the foliage in the last one) it's completey spectacular! If this is commercial, how much do you plan at this moment? To be honest I can't wait to buy this as afinnished product! [not to rush you or anything] keep it up taking your time -- this really is some great work here!

When I first saw the last three screens, I was stoked. My only critique would be for you to add some more textures on those buildings and that room [which I'm sure you already planed on doing]

Amazing.
