I got inspired by lyberdoggy's chapel just had to run with it. Again just sketchup, Podium & Photoshop. Enjoy!

Very, very, very impressive. :)

A few questions from a novice Podium user: first, about how long did it take you to model that cathedral? And secondly, what do you normally do with light leaks like the ones around some of the edges of the chapel?

Oh, and one more: are you planning to use that in a game? It already looks very good.

the light leaks generally would be fixed tinkering with the shadow settings and the presets. but if push came to shove you could always photoshop them out (i kinda liked them in these pictures)

modelling that took about two hours most of the parts like the windows i had built & saved as components previously so most of the tricky stuff had allready be done. It looks more impressive than it is really. exporting the linework from sketchup and overlaying it onto the podium render in photoshop is what makes the picture 'pop'. using the additional lines seems to give it that broken sword type feel to me anyway.

i might use them for a third person game i'm planning. just a matter of trying to find someone who can draw characters to fit the scenes

Normal english words could express the amazement of your work, and I would be in error if I used words not found in most enlish dictionaries.

I wish I was as imaginative with visual concepts.
Just PM me three things, a location, a time period and a item.

I will send you back a story line.

Beautiful work, solid concept and execution. Great visual style, it'd be interesting if somebody did a whole adventure game with that nicely crafted black/white look.

Anyway, great job! :D
