Hey all,

I really got into this software, i'm currently using the free edition to try it out. I have a quick question before you download the file, is there anyway to make diolouge happen via hotspots rather than the start of a frame, either that or assign diolouge to a variable?

ALSO can you make it so when items are merged they change a variable?

Thanks in advanced.

This game is just a quick tester to get my head around the software, its only a few frames but will give you an idea of the vibe im going for in this project. I have also hidden a little puzzle in the game (think lights)

If you get to the special screen let me know.

Final Note: I use bad language in this so i'm sorry if it offends.

DaZ

p.s I hope you can open the file...its only the free version.

Welcome to the forums dazexus :)
It's great to hear that you enjoy Adventure Maker.

You can work around to start a dialogue from a hotspot. Duplicate your frame, and make a hyperlink to the second (identical looking) frame when the player clicks the hotspot (e.g. the character to talk to). The dialogue starts when the second (identical looking) frame is loaded.

To change a variable when items are combined, you need to use the advanced features of the full version, and make it by adding a script (basically you can try it out by using the "Evaluate" possibility of the free version).

Thanks for the help there,

Did you get a chance to check out the little project I was working on?

And is it possible to spark a diologue using internal ID's via script?

Ummm, is calling me pervert the end? :?

The game is very nicely done, but some of the content is not really my thing. ;)

Lol I apologize for my crude nature, Just something I put there to keep me laughing (immature sense of humor I know)

They will not be there in the final version, It was more a quick tester that I could get an operational map, and have the items from one location working on another.

So am I on the right track with regards to the 'programming'
