Save The Princess (HTML mini game)

Postby Mystery » Tue Sep 09, 2008 2:40 pm

While I was trying out ShadowHunter's HotSpot Magic, this little HTML game has evolved.
It's certainly not a masterpiece (:P), but it documents in a cute way, that nice online mini games can be created with AM already today. This is why I'm posting it here, too.

Hopefully the future will bring support for more features for HTLM games, too :)

You can play it if you like here:

Yes, a very cute game mystery and I was actually able to complete it. :) Good system for the inventory.

ZW.
You have to make some to understand some.

"Don't go there, we will eat you"...lmao--First line..that made me laugh..

I enjoyed that..! .. was dissapointed when it ended...:(...

Was there any difference to using Hotspot Magic with this as any other games u made..like was it easier ..or was there something u were able to do differently now...that you couldn't do before..? Just curious..:)

Peace..!~

Ok, is that what hotspot plugin does? Allows you to create an inventory?

No...i have seen this in Mystery's other online games..without Hotspot Magic...Hotspot Magic is not a plugin..its a software..I'm assuming she just used variables and frames..with the picture in a hotspot already in another frame...but they seem the same as the iphone platform...I think..

I"m guessing, ive never used other platforms..only experimented shortly with them..and i've never tried HTML..game

Peace

pennsteve, hotspot magic allows you to paste the same code in several hotspots simply, to create hotspot grids (like the ones you would use in an othello puzzle) etc...

Thank you Mercedes :D

@ Pennsteve & Mercedes
With HotSpot Magic, it was much easier to create the inventory and the "direction" arrows on the screens, because you can just set them up on one screen, and copy them to the others.
No hassles with trying to position them at the same place on each screen manually :)

Of course - as Lyberodoggy said - it's also great for puzzles where you need grids of hotspots.
