Inspired by adventure game that took my breath away and of the good games I've played, I made a game in one breath...

http://hotfile.com/dl/128072633/b59de41/Lady_Goldsleeves.exe.html

Thanks to reneuend for his help about making this game playable!

Hope that you'll like it ;)

Hey V66!

Might I suggest adding the link and information about the game to the original post for this thread? That way no one has to hunt for it! :-)

Good Job on getting this game done!

Done ;)

Everything is on first page of this thread. The third games are there...

As I'm seeing through the games, it takes a lot of progress from the first time I worked with AM. I can say only one, I'm negative about graphics, but AM thanks for this beautiful software! We gave a life to the games, a soul, we scare someone, we laugh someone, but it's worth it ;)

Shadows 2 is in production!

The first stage is in production and it's going great. I found out that Cinema 4D is a great program. Now with little experience and more training I'm building up the first stage completely so it will be the scenery of the game. It's really fun!

Yesterday the screenwriter (Ian Petar Valensa) told me about the first stage and we make a sketch in my notebook. From that sketch I'm making the whole stage. Second stage is in writing process...

Some of the story... Ian P. Valensa is waking up in a white room with no memories. The first thing he grabs is a note on the desk where is written his name... Exiting the room, he found out that he is in a corridor with 8 rooms...

I think that the first stage is long like the whole game Lady Goldsleeves and maybe longer...

Hope that we will bring the game up like we are planning to do...
Thanks for everything!

Looks good; if your software enables light effects, that would give the final touch I think.

I put lights, but if I put too much the rendering is not good.

So I think that this light level is enough

..I wonder if Harvester means..Light effects tool..that comes with AM..?

or dark and light effects that comes with software...to show shadowing..

I think he meant for the software. But, I had some problems with the light... The renderings were not good with too much light...

Another thing, here is a sneak peak in Shadows 2 and to see who are we...

It was very interesting to see such a video! I haven't seen such being made for any other AM games yet, but it's definitely a good idea, bringing players and makers closer to each other! Well done!

Thanks Harvester! I kinda got the idea yesterday... I watched other video but for making a game. I will make videos with all members that made something in those games... :)

I concur with Harvester. Most of us hide behind our work! :)

Nice presentation, V66!

Thanks reneuend! Glad you like the presentation. I wanted to show you who's behind the scenes all the time. I don't speak very well English, but I think you understand what I've said in the videos...

Next stop is something more interesting... ;)

You should work at your lightning and texturing skills.

I have made a simple, not very detailed rebuilt of your picture with a bit more of lightning and more detailed textures:

This is just fast made frome me inspired by your picture and your story

Juhuwoorps. This sounds like a good article for BBB! Perhaps you can show all of us how you do this.

ya..that's what I meant...If you notice the doors...they have a shadow around the edges of them...And the ceilings..are now more detailed..and not flat..

This way the door looks like a door--[it either bevels in or out..]-..and not a flat texture..They have a 3D effect..

I use a darkening tool or lighting tool to achieve either..

Valensa's flashbacks were shot today on some places. There were some problems indicated by us and the people there, but everything worked fine.

You'll see them in the final game...

This looks waaay better than mine work

I'm not good at it, but I can try... I'm working in Cinema 4D, and if you made a tutorial showing everyone how you do that, it would be great! :)

I'm using Maya , so a tutorial wouldn't help you with Cinema 4D.
You should google for tutorials for C4d.
Search for things like UVmapping, texturing, bumpmapping and lightning for Cinema4d.

I think you can find a lot of stuff
Good luck!

Here is a short form tutorial..Which should work in almost any application..using a selection tooland layers.

You can use the square selection..or polygonal selection..ect..

Make your selection..by the door frame..
Select the parts u want darkened/lightened only.
--Create your layer

There should be some form of icon in any application that adds light or darkens.

Now go to the layer..and darken it....using whatever tool darkens..
Then lower transparency..to whatever u want it to look like..
So it looks like a shadow..and has that 3D effect..
Then merge the layer down..or merge it down later..

Done :)

P.S. if you want to play with those layers later..SaveAS the file with the extension that allows u to save with layers..ex.PSF ect..
My app is PSF..The application should prompt you..on how to save.

When u are ready to release or use the picture. You can always merge the layer down later--or save as a BMP or JPG-which will merge down automatically.

I learned this from ZW..I drove him crazy..till he taught me how to draw 3D..

While the story is being written for stage 2 of Shadows 2, we decided to re-make the original Shadows... It is everything the same, just the graphics and the way of playing. It is in 360 degree thanks to Dalton.

We hope that you'll like it. ;)

Thanks for everything!

Great!
I think I'll wait until the original Shadows is finished before playing Shadows 2. That way I can play them in sequence.

Another project is in progress...

The story:

A kid, 16-17 years, crazy fan about the band Iced Earth, sitting whole day on PC, listening to their music and nothing else. His mother will take the concert ticket from him and lock him in his room. The concert is about to begin that evening, and the ticket is "somewhere". The kid is releasing himself from the room with your help and going to the nearest cafe bar to find some clue. There he founds an arrogant waiter who wants something from Iced Earth before he can tell you something...

Now the game will include 3 characters. Till now, the arrogant waiter, a predictive lady, with a magic ball of course, and I was thinking about a drunk doctor...

The game is supposed to be funny with silly things, something like the Monkey Island series, but not in third person. It will be with captured photos, then edited...

What do you think?
